Following the kick-off event at the end of July, Jena’s Department of Urban Development and the Environment is inviting local residents to participate in the second public event. The occasion: to have planning office AS&P present three master-plan variations for the Eichplatz complex.

Public incentive event in Jena

AS&P presents ideas for “Eichplatz”

The first ideas for the redevelopment of Eichplatz in Jena that AS&P has devised in response to having been commissioned to do so by the city’s urban development committee will be presented to interested members of the public at the kick-off event in the “Rathausdiele” in the Historical City Hall. At the incentive and other follow-on events, citizens will be encouraged to play an active role in drawing up the urban development master plan.

“Offenbacher Disput 2016”

7 p.m. – 8.30 p.m., Kulturhalle “Alte Schlosserei” of the Energieversorgung Offenbach (EVO) utility company

On May 21 Prof. Albert Speer is attending the kick-off event of the “Offenbacher Disput” series entitled “FrankfurtRhineMain – Where is the region heading? Limitations to and chances of growth in a metropolitan region”. His discussion partners are Tarek Al-Wazir, Hessen Economics Minister and Deputy State Prime Minister and Stefan Schulte, CEO of Fraport AG. Anton Jakob Weinberger, who writes for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, is moderating the discussion. The Energieversorgung Offenbach AG (EVO) utility and the City of Offenbach Business Development Council organize the “Offenbacher Disput”.


AS&P to speak at BIM event

5 p.m. in the ASRM Future Pavilion on Goetheplatz, Frankfurt/Main

Dirk Kahl, a member of the Executive Board at AS&P will speak about the company’s experiences with “building information modelling” and its BIM strategy at an event entitled “BIM – voluntary or obligatory?” held by the Frankfurt Association of Architects and Engineers (AIV). At the event on May 11 in the ASRM Future Pavilion on Goetheplatz in Frankfurt/Main, the topic of “BIM” will be explored from various perspectives and by various players. En Route in a New World

Professor Albert Speer will speak at the Economy Days of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken on “megacities and urban visions – energy centers of the global economy”. The connection between urbanization and globalization will be discussed.

The motto of this event, to be held in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt, is “en route in a new world – people and markets in the megacity era”.
